While Lulu prepared to celebrate her birthday with an old couple whom Lulu though of as her grandfather and grandmother who raised her dearly, two messengers from her world, the Flower World, which she did not know existed yet were on their way to find her. The two messengers were a big brown dog and a small white fluffy cat that could talk called Nubo (Nuvo or Nouveau) and Gatto (Cateau).
Following a magical spell that would lead them to Hananoko Lulu, the talking dog and cat arrived at the town which Hananoko Lun Lun resided. The talking dog met Lun Lun first without knowing. The talking cat followed the magical spell to Lu Lu 's house to see that his pal, the dog, was already there. The feline messenger paraded in while Lulu was celebrating her birthday with her grandfather and grandmother.
The messengers then broke the news that Lun Lun was not from that town at all but from the Flower World. She is the heir that would save the Flower World from destruction. Once upon a time, the people of the Flower World lived in peace with humans but when the humans no longer wanted to co-exist peacefully, most of the people of the Flower World flew homes away from Earth. Some, however, stayed behind and married humans. Hananoko Lulu was an offspring and the only one who can bring peace to the Flower World.
