About Umemiya Himeko

Umemiya Himeko was a rebellious, fun loving but nice girl who was very good at sports at school making her more like a boy than a girl.

At school, Umemiya Himeko hang out with a group of girl friends. Like all girls in Japanese schools, Umemiya Himeko was constantly fighting with her long time enemy, Masaki, a crude and rude boy at school who loved Karate and teasing challenging Himeko. However Masaki and Himeko acted, they were best friends and in their heart they always had feelings for each other.

Yumi in Ohayou Himeko and Uwasa no Himeko - Himeko' s Twin?

In Ohayou Himeko, Umemiya Himeko met a girl called Yumi who looked exactly like her except that Yumi had a small mould under her right eye. Yumi was a skater and Himeko was a gymnast at the time. Their lives intertwined and at one point Himeko and Yumi swapped lives. Himeko went into Yumi's home while Yumi posed as Himeko. The story unfolded badly when Yumi was mistaken as Himeko and put in the gymnastic competition. Eventually, Himeko saved the day and they remained friends. Yumi later appeared in Uwasa no Himeko as a troubled young woman. She and Himeko were reunited by accident. Yumi had a tragedy and changed from a loving and sweet girl to a resentful and troubled young lady.
