Miriam by Hikawa Kyoko

Miriam is a Japanese comic book short story by Hikawa Kyoko (ひかわ きょうこ). Miriam is a Japanese anime featuring Miriam, a young rebellious but beautiful girl. The story of Miriam by Hikawa Kyoko was set in the Western setup with cowboys, horses and guns. The Japanese name for Miriam is 荒野の天使ども (Koya no Tenshi domo).

Miriam Todd, the heroin of the story was a smart 8 years old orphan. Miriam was poor; she had nothing but a ragged dress and a pig called Willy. One day her father died leaving her in the world alone. As a child, Miriam met three cowboys. One of them was Douglas whom she fell in love with even though she was 8 and he was 17. Douglas was a crude cowboy whom Miriam always called stupid and rude. Miriam and the three cowboys including Douglas faced many adventures together.

The story continued to when Miriam grew up. Now Miriam was 17 and had an accident. The accident made Miriam Todd lose her memory. She didn't remember anything beyond the day she woke up. People were after her and Douglas had to find her and save her. Miriam grew up to be a beautiful young woman, still smart and witty.

When Miriam and Douglas were reunited, she did not remember him but after hanging out with him, she wondered if she loved Douglas before she lost her memories. Douglas certainly cared a great deal for Miriam. The two followed their fate with more adventures.
