The story of Miyuki (みゆき) by Adachi Mitsuru (あだち充 or 安達 充) is a love story between Wakamatsu Miyuki and Wakamatsu Masato, her adopted brother. In the story of Miyuki (みゆき) by Adachi Mitsuru (あだち充 or 安達 充), there are two girls named Miyuki. One is older called Kashima Miyuki who went to the same school as Wakamatsu Miyuki 's brother, Wakamatsu Masato.

Wakamatsu Miyuki had been spending all her growing years in America and at the beginning of the Miyuki series came back to Japan to attend high school and meeting her brother, Wakamatsu Masato for the first time. Not knowing that Miyuki was his sister, Wakamatsu Masato hit on her. Everything changed when he found out that she was his sister.

Wakamatsu Masato and Wakamatsu Miyuki lived together as brother and sister. The whole time, Wakamatsu Masato knew that Miyuki was not his real sister but he never told Miyuki because he did not want to lose her. Miyuki was a very smart girl and she looked after Masato well. The reader did not know throughout the story of Miyuki when Miyuki actually found out that Masato was not her brother. Miyuki 's every action seemed to indicate that she loved Masato with all her heart. She even wanted to go to the same school as Masato even though she was capable of going to a much better school.
