Touch by Adachi Mitsuru

Adachi Mitsuru (あだち充), after the success of I love Miyuki, gained another mega success with the series Touch (タッチ), a story about a love triangle between the two twin brothers and a girl they grew up with. The two twins are Uesugi Katsuya (Kazuya) and Uesugi Tatsuya (pictures of Uesugi Katsuya (Kazuya) and Uesugi Tatsuya below)

The older brother is Uesugi Tatsuya, a worthless and lazy brother who always failed in class, had no girls interested in him, and could never do anything right. His twin brother, Uesugi Kazuya, on the other hand, was a real baseball star at school whom every girl at school wanted to date. But, the only girl, Uesugi Kazuya wanted to be his girlfriend was the neighbor girl whom he grew up with called Asakura Minami (picture of Asakura Minami below).

Asakura Minami

Asakura Minami (Asagura Minami) was one of the prettiest girl in school who insisted that she and Uesugi Kazuya were just childhood friends. Uesugi Kazuya felt otherwise and one day actually held Asakura Minami in his arms and told her that he loved her. The love was not reciprocated although Asakura Minani did not want to break the lifelong friendship between them. Arakura Minami loved his twin brother, Uesugi Tatsuya who at this point found himself a sport that he could tolerate, boxing. Asakura Minami later took gymnastic.
