But this Japanese anime was more of a horror and did not do as well. Still, it was a neat story for Japanese comic book fans who like that kind of story.

In the end, after a long struggle and countless slaughters of innocents, Rumi and Ruka finally faced each other fully. Ruka had had enough of Rumi's evil and was determined to stop her at all costs. In the season finale, Rumi and Ruka fought and in the end they both put their hands into each other's body. However, Rumi's hand passed right through Ruka's body while Ruka's hand killed Rumi. Ruka had her power much later than Rumi had hers and as a result, Rumi's power weakened and disappeared before Ruka's. That was why Rumi could not damage Ruka but Ruka could damage Rumi.
